Trial simulation at the Laboratory of cyberjustice

March 23, 2018

In order to support the initiatives of the Comité droit et technologie of Université de Montréal who organized a mock trial to the benefit of the students from the law faculty in the futuristic auditorium of the cyberjustice laboratory, Me J.-F. Latreille agreed to act as a judge, along with two learned colleagues from Fasken, to hear a most interesting case pertaining to the right to one’s image.

This exercise helped underline the great litigation skills of the law faculty students, the challenges to integrate modern technology in the execution of a trial, and … the challenges inherent to being a judge!
