DUBÉ LATREILLE is proud to announce the arrival of a new member on its team. The firm can now count on the talent, experience and dynamism of Mr. Francis Azar as an articling student.
After obtaining a Bachelor of Laws degree from the Université du Québec à Montréal, Francis has just successfully completed his training at the École du Barreau.
Prior to that, he began his professional career by graduating from the École nationale de police du Québec. He then worked as a police officer for 7 years with the Service de Police de la Ville de Montréal. His time with the SPVM provided him with valuable experience and a perspective that is uncommon among lawyers, as it led him to intervene in complex situations to ensure the application of laws and regulations in the field. The multitude of challenges he has faced in the course of his work have developed in him an ability to identify priorities and make key decisions in emergency situations. He has also come to appreciate the importance of having a strong and reliable team to face adversity. Overall, this experience only fueled his interest in our legal system and the critical role of the lawyer profession in it.
While he was in the police force, he continued his studies by completing a certificate in Administration at the Télé-université du Québec, which earned him a place on the honor roll for academic excellence. This experience also allowed him to discover a growing interest in the business world.
Subsequently, his intellectual curiosity led him to study law. During these studies, he had the privilege of participating in an internship within the judiciary, which allowed him to discover and appreciate this other important facet of our judicial system. Considering that balancing work and study was quite a challenge in obtaining his law degree, Francis had to adopt a personal discipline, a work ethic and a rigor that will surely serve him well in his new profession.
To further his education, Francis is currently enrolled in the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program at HEC Montréal. This training will provide him a solid foundation that will serve him well in becoming an outstanding lawyer in this very competitive field of law.
