DUBÉ LATREILLE is proud to announce the arrival of a new lawyer on its team. The firm can now rely on the talent, experience and dynamism of Me Francis Azar as a fully fledged lawyer.
After obtaining a law degree (LL.L) from the Université du Québec à Montréal, Me Francis Azar successfully completed his training at the École du Barreau du Québec.
Prior to becoming a lawyer, Francis began his professional career by graduating from the École nationale de police du Québec. He then worked as a police officer for 7 years with the Service de Police de la Ville de Montréal. His time with the SPVM provided him with valuable experience and a perspective that is uncommon amongst lawyers. It gave him the opportunity to intervene in complex situations to ensure the application of laws and regulations in the field. The multitude of challenges he has faced in the course of his work have developed in him an ability to identify priorities and make key decisions in emergency situations. He has also come to appreciate the importance of having a strong and reliable team to face adversity. Overall, this experience only fueled his interest for our legal system and the critical role of lawyers within it.
While he was in the police force, he continued his studies by completing a certificate in administration at the Télé-université du Québec where he earned a place on the honor roll for his academic excellence. This is where he discovered a growing interest for the business world.
Subsequently, his intellectual curiosity led him to study law. During his time in law school, he had the privilege to participate in an internship program with the judiciary, which allowed him to appreciate this other important facet of our legal system.
Considering the challenges inherent to having a full-time job and a demanding university program, Francis had to maintain a personal discipline, a work ethic and a rigor that will surely serve him well in his new profession.
In order to further his education, Francis is currently enrolled in the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program at HEC Montréal. The new skill sets he will acquire will undoutedly contribute to help him become an outstanding lawyer.
