Me Thomas Godbout is a graduate of the Université de Sherbrooke Faculty of Law, holding a Bachelor of Laws and a Specialized Graduate Diploma (DESS) in common law and transnational law (Juris Doctor).
He initially joined the Dubé Latreille team as an articling student and has been practising as a lawyer there since March 31, 2025. Me Godbout has a particular interest in civil liability, contractual disputes, and litigation related to cybercrime.
During his academic career, Me Godbout worked notably as a research assistant at the Université de Sherbrooke in administrative law relating to university research. He also took part in a United Nations simulation (NMUNS) and completed a term abroad at the Università degli Studi di Trento, in Italy, where he took numerous courses in comparative law.
Alongside the practice of law, Me Godbout particularly enjoys training in fencing and biathlon. He is also interested in music, personal finance, and learning the Italian language and culture.
